Communicating in an effective manner is a key skill for academic faculty, whether they be researchers, clinicians, or teachers. Many academic faculty, however, have never taken a formal course in effective communication and/or slide construction. The overall purpose of this workshop series is to help scaffold and develop individuals seeking specific skill development in core elements that will make them a better speaker. Bridging Leaders Program
πŸ“…September 19, 2022-January 16, 2023 (days & times vary)
Bridging Leaders (BLP) is a four month program aimed at raising the capacity of leaders who have to navigate multiple roles/frames within an organization (or even multiple organizations!). Unlike most leadership training, which have people considering one perspective to set their vision and mission, our Bridging Leaders Program is meant to help people navigate competing interests across multiple roles, groups, institutions, etc.

Have you read Wikipedia recently? Do your learners or trainees read Wikipedia? Do you want to disseminate your publications or the publications of your peers beyond your professional community? Wikipedia’s health and medical pages are accessed with more frequency than any other health information web site in the world, with disproportionate access from geographic areas where access to physicians, hospitals, or trusted government information is limited.

If you have knowledge, you have knowledge to share. Learn from our expert speaker, Denise Smith, a Wikipedia researcher with expertise in Wikipedia as a consumer health information resource.
