Faculty of Health Sciences Women's Symposium 2022
Building Alliances for the Future
Thursday, March 31st, 2022, from 12:10-5:00pm EDT

NOW ACCREDITED!

Women remain underrepresented as leaders in academia and healthcare settings. To close this gap, cultural change and contributions from all involved in these spheres will be important - whether that is existing women in leadership or those seeking to be allies for women aspiring to hold positive experiences. The 2022 Womenโ€™s Symposium will be a venue where we can bring together all individuals (both women and their allies) to consider how we might close the persistent gender gap within our work environments.

All faculty members who identify as women and allies of women are invited to join. For more information, head to the event page: bit.ly/MacPFD-FHSWomen22.
In Case You Missed It...
P Cubed (P3) Presentations
Originally presented September 28th, 2021.

Presentations suck. You know that. Mindless recitation of interminable bullet points illustrated by complex data tables and impenetrable diagrams. And thatโ€™s just YOUR presentation! You know what sucks and yet, for too many reasons, when it comes your turn to deliver a presentation you do just what you hate. Because itโ€™s what they want, because itโ€™s easy, because everyone else does it, because thatโ€™s what the boss wants, because itโ€™s academic, because you donโ€™t know any better.

View the recording for this workshop and change your presentations, forever.

The Infinite Game is a business book which challenges the conventional way we think of organizations.  This is applicable to hospitals, educational programs or our personal lives.
Often times people are focused on seeing life or work as a game and success means winning. This is not the best strategy as we usually encounter infinite games. The players come and go, rules change and there are no winners and losers. By approaching life as an infinite game there is renewed way in thinking of what success really means.  This book is eye-opening for anyone in healthcare or education. It makes you think differently.
