Madeleine Verhovsek
Dr. Madeleine Verhovsek is a Hematologist with a passion for health equity, anti-racism, and exceptional patient care.
Racism is a longstanding issue in North America, with recent increased attention and urgency related to health inequities with COVID-19 and the high-profile deaths of several Black and Indigenous people in police custody.  As healthcare professionals it is important for us to examine our personal attitudes and biases, while also putting our systems under scrutiny, with the goal to deliver equitable care to all patients. This anti-racism list was developed for Canadian physicians, including recommended blogs, videos, journal articles and books.
