Dr. Ken Burgess

Ken Burgess McMaster BSc MD CCFP (EM) FCFP ‘77 is a semi-retired family, occupational and emergency physician. He has been on faculty since 1980, teaching medical students and residents.

"Andrea Frolic and her colleagues at Hamilton Health Sciences have created an innovative new resilience program which they call MIND SHIFT. It is evidence and neuroscience/neuroplasticity based, and melds elements of mindfulness, gratitude, self-compassion theory and practice and teaches a simple brief awareness/resetting exercise called PRN that can be used throughout the day. There are morning zoom webinar meetings for 21 days ending Christmas Eve and these are available for viewing at any time by clicking here. Participation will help you shift your mind-body to a more skillful and resilient mode. Give it a try!"
